About the Office

Start with the Zoning Officer before beginning work

The Zoning and Code Enforcement Office helps residents, property owners, contractors and businesses understand the Town’s land-use requirements and applicable building and safety rules. Early contact can prevent delays, redesign costs and enforcement issues.

Depending on the project, review may involve zoning compliance, site plans, subdivisions, variances, special approvals, building-code requirements, inspections or coordination with another agency.

Before purchasing materials or beginning construction: contact the office to confirm which approvals, applications, plans and inspections apply to the property and proposed work.
